Subscription Creep

The gradual, often unnoticed accumulation of recurring charges from forgotten or underused subscriptions.

Subscription creep happens because recurring charges are individually small and easy to forget, while free trials silently convert to paid plans. Left unchecked, dozens of small subscriptions can add up to a significant, invisible monthly cost.

Why it matters: a periodic audit of bank and card statements for recurring charges is a high-leverage, low-effort way to recover money already being spent without providing value.
