Affiliate Disclosure

The Unhacked may earn affiliate commissions, but recommendations are governed by usefulness, sovereignty fit, tradeoffs and reader trust.

Our Affiliate Relationship Disclosure

The Unhacked participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click certain links on this site and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission β€” at no additional cost to you.

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions including the UK ASA and EU consumer protection directives.

What This Means for You

  • Affiliate links are labelled. Links that may earn us a commission are marked with a disclosure notice in the relevant article or with the symbol β†’.
  • Commissions do not influence our recommendations. Our editorial process is independent of our commercial relationships. Products are evaluated on technical merit, security architecture, and fitness for the reader β€” not commission rates.
  • We decline partnerships that compromise independence. We do not accept sponsored placements, paid reviews, or advertiser influence over editorial content.
  • You pay the same price. Affiliate commissions are paid by the advertiser, not by the reader. You will never pay more by clicking an affiliate link.

Which Networks and Programs We Use

The Unhacked may earn commissions through the following affiliate programs and networks:

  • ClickBank β€” digital products across health, money, productivity, and personal development
  • PartnerStack β€” SaaS and software tools relevant to digital sovereignty and productivity
  • Direct affiliate programs β€” including programs operated independently by individual brands in the privacy, security, health, and financial sectors

Not all links on The Unhacked are affiliate links. Many tools we recommend have no affiliate program and are included purely on editorial merit.

Our Editorial Standard

Every product that appears in The Unhacked Toolkit or receives a recommendation in our guides has been through our standard review process:

  1. Independent assessment of the underlying architecture, privacy policy, and security posture
  2. Review of independent audits, peer-reviewed studies, or third-party verification where they exist
  3. Tradeoff mapping β€” we document what a product does well, where it falls short, and who should avoid it
  4. Alternative identification β€” we name competing options so readers can make informed comparisons

A product with a high affiliate commission that fails our review will not appear on this site. A product with no affiliate program that passes our review will be recommended without reservation.
