Every product that appears in The Unhacked Toolkit or receives a recommendation in our guides has been through our standard review process:
- Independent assessment of the underlying architecture, privacy policy, and security posture
- Review of independent audits, peer-reviewed studies, or third-party verification where they exist
- Tradeoff mapping β we document what a product does well, where it falls short, and who should avoid it
- Alternative identification β we name competing options so readers can make informed comparisons
A product with a high affiliate commission that fails our review will not appear on this site. A product with no affiliate program that passes our review will be recommended without reservation.
